Trilingual setup

I’m trying to set things up so that I can read a text in Tajik and automatically see both the Persian and English equivalent. Any way to do that?

I have something close, either:

  • Select English and then ask the AI to provide the Persian equivalent
  • Vice versa (select Persian and them ask for an English equivalent)

But no way to do it automatically.

Alternatively it could work if I could set the AI to automatically ask the extra prompt that you can select. But as far as I know it will always display the standard answer first and then you have to add the extra context to get a more specific answer.

That’s an interesting idea.

I’m not sure I completely understand you. Just to clarify: for the normal Explain feature I always send the whole context sentence but ask in the prompt to “explain the usual meaning as well as the meaning in this context”. For the “Ask AI” custom prompt the whole context sentence is also always sent.

Yes, so what I think could work here is a way to set it to automatically add the extra context without clicking on the bar below and selecting one.

It sounds like a minor point but on my phone I like to view in landscape so that I can see both text and the explain feature at the same time, and every time I click on the bar the keyboard pops up first, then I have to minimize it and only then can get to the selection.

Here’s a screenshot! The keyboard wants all the attention

Any plans on implementing this? A simple textbox in the settings for “default extra prompt information” should be enough.

Instead of always sending the context + your static prompt, it would send the context + the user’s default prompt. For example I would love mine to be “explain the usual meaning as well as the etymology”. Might save some computing power as well since I won’t always ask for a follow-up explanation for etymology.
