Text clarity issues on color e-ink devices (Boox Note Air5C)

Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you for the great app — the reading experience with Readlang is really much better.

However, I’ve run into an issue when using it on a color e-ink device (Boox Note Air5C). Unfortunately, after about 15 minutes my eyes start to hurt. The text looks a bit blurry and not very sharp.

I checked the forum, and it seems that people using black-and-white e-ink devices don’t have this problem.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to improve text clarity or reduce eye strain on color e-ink screens?
Also, is anyone here using a color e-ink device — do you have the same issue?

Thanks in advance!

Please try the E-Ink option to display with a pure white background: Pure white background, please! - #2 by Steve

BTW: I bought both color and black and white versions of the Boox Go 7 and the black and white one has significantly better contrast.

thank you! I accidentally missed this AA section
