Handicap-friendly suggestion

It was suggested to me by a reddit user to come here and make my request. I am in a wheelchair and using my mouse to click on each word is too laborious a task for me. On lingq there is a feature with keyboard shortcuts that allow you to navigate from word to word. I was hoping this app would have the same feature. If this can be implemented here I can definitely see myself becoming a premium member.

There actually is a lot of keyboard shortcuts already. Check out this post from Steve. I believe you will find all the information you need there.

I do not think you understand that you cannot simply tab through words using the keyboard. You have to manually click on each one.

Doesn’t space or enter work? It should work for Blitz & Mastery Practice, but I don’t know about mastery since I’m on an iPad right now.

I’m not talking about practice flashcards. I’m talking about the reading portion. I go to the library and click on the story about the grandparents house and cannot navigate from word to word using the keyboard

Oops, sorry I misunderstood you. It seems like you can only use the keyboard to navigate from page to page for now, instead of going through every word.

Any update on this would be fantastic

One logistical difference is that on LingQ, if you “know” a word, the arrow key movement skips those words. In that case, it’s very convenient to navigate that way. But readlang doesn’t have a concept of “known” words, so navigating this way would always hit every word. One would probably want to figure out how to differentiate keyboard navigation from clicking on every single word (which one wouldn’t normally do on readlang).

That makes a lot of sense. I can see why it hasn’t been implemented yet. I do think others however, not just the handicapped like myself, would find keyboard shortcuts a swifter alternative.
