Add more details from a synced Youtube video when storing new words

When I highlight a word I understand that the context surrounding the word is also captured, this is great because words cannot be learned in isolation. After I learned about comprehensible input I decided to look for content where I can also have a visual cue in addition to listening and reading the word or phrase.

The feature request is to have additional details stored in the context or additional metadata fields like the timestamp of a youtube video.

In the following example I highlighted the words “en velo“ (by bike).

The metadata that was stored was the phrase in french, the translation and the context. In addition, we can add metadata such as notes and source url (however, the Youtube url and timestamp are missing).

It would be great if there was a way to store the youtube video url automatically including the timestamp. That way, when exporting the word I can also export this metadata and later augment the entry with more details (such as to add a screenshot of the Youtube video at the given timestamp) to have more cues in Anki.

Here’s an example of how I’d create the card.
