What is Karma Score?

Self-explanatory. How can I use them?

I’d also like to know that. I’ve been googling it, but have found no answer.

Sorry, there’s nothing you can do with them, at least not at the moment. The number is just intended as a small reward for sharing with the community. I can see that maybe it feels a bit half baked at the moment though. Is there anything you would like to be able to do with them?

Hello Steve, thanks for replying
So far, I’ve only uploaded some materials publicly out of a love for sharing, but maybe if I get a lot of karma, it would be nice to be able to exchange it for a few days/weeks of premium.

I wonder if there’s been any update with this? I wanted to share my podcast here to help learners, and had to pay in order to add the audio file, as I don’t otherwise need the premium features of readlang. It would be very useful if you get some benefits from sharing content, so one could continue to do so without paying for it.

It would also be great to add the material and audio without meeting to use AI. This is actually quite a downer as I am actively trying to avoid AI on ethical/environmental reasons, and with the example of my podcast, I manually transcribe it already anyway.

I’d prefer Karma to stay unrelated to anything money related (I mean it’s called Karma and not Readlang Bucks )

When I checked out Lingq a few weeks ago I was surprised that I found some quite obviously copyrighted materials in its “courses”. Later I learned that they incentivize people with free memberships if they upload “popular” content. I kind of sense a connection here

Why don’t you upload the podcast to YouTube and import it from there?

I agree the issue with copyright topics, but I don’t understand the logic of having to pay to upload material. That itself could be a benefit of karma - able to upload more martial without having to pay for it.

I don’t see any option to upload content other than an audio file or just plain text. Is there an import, which is in a different area to upload?

Personally I also have ethical concerns about putting material onto YouTube as a Google company.
