Web reader on Android phone

Hi, all. Forgive me if I’m out of line here but I’m really stumped on how to use the web reader on a Dutch site on my Android phone. While the instructions tell you to put the JavaScript in the URL, if I remember correctly, I can’t seem to be able to do that on a phone. I’m really really confused. Thanks for any input anyone can give, and please be kind as I’m new here. Thanks.

Why can’t you put the JavaScript into the address bar in e.g., chrome on your phone?

It seems that in my case, I’ve created the bookmark while on desktop, but I can use it on mobile thanks to syncing. But I suppose you could bookmark any bookmark in your phone, then go to Bookmarks, find it, edit the title to RL reader, edit the url to the JavaScript, save. Then open the website you want to read, go to the address bar, write RL reader, click on the bookmark (it will appear in the list) and the web reader should start.
However, also know that it doesn’t work on all sites. So it may make sense to test it on a few sites if it doesn’t load on the first one you try.

Thanks for your answer. I have a feeling it has to do with enabling third-party cookies. I think that I’m going to just try this on desktop rather than on mobile in the near future and see how it goes.

The Web Reader bookmark is pretty fiddly for many people to install, and it doesn’t work on all websites. If you can use it on Chrome desktop then I highly recommend using the Chrome extension instead (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/readlang-web-reader/odpdkefpnfejbfnmdilmfhephfffmfoh?hl=en). You can use that to import plain text versions of articles which you can read later on readlang.com on your mobile device.
