Hi

I love this Readlang. Brilliant idea. When I listen to some text the Voice always misses the 1st word or more at the beginning of each new sentence/line :flushed_face: and I read how to find and change the settings. I tried X.8 and tried X 1 and it still happens.

Sorry about this issue. The Read Aloud feature uses your browser’s built-in text-to-speech, so it’s possible that this is out of Readlang’s control.

Here are a couple of things you can try:

  1. Try Microsoft Edge - Edge generally has the best text-to-speech quality and may not have this cut-off issue. (Chrome and Firefox both seem to work well too, although the selection of voices isn’t as good as Edge)
  2. Try different voices - Click the AA button from the reader page sidebar, then try selecting different voices from the voice selection menu. Some voices may handle the timing better than others

If you let me know which browser and operating system you’re using, and whether switching browsers or voices helps.
