Will any information or data be entered, uploaded, stored, published, or shared within ReadLang? (This is for a website risk assessment with my local education department to support student use of the site.)
Hi Oliver. To respond to your question:
- entered / uploaded: yes, data is entered and uploaded - emails, usernames, passwords, texts, vocab, etc.
- stored: yes, all the aforementioned data is stored on our servers, but passwords are always hashed and never stored as plaintext
- published / shared: yes, it is possible to share texts on Readlang so that other users of readlang.com can access them, but you can also use Readlang without doing this
Another thing worth noting: Readlang is not intended for children under 14, and does not knowingly collect data from them.
