I would love to see an additional way to upload texts to the library, by simply pasting in the URL for an online article. This would be particularly useful when on mobile!
I realise there is a chrome extension, but I find it a bit clunky for my workflow.
Just checking if there’s any update on this feature or if it might be coming soon.
I was about to create a new request for it and then found this thread.
On my phone (managed by my company) I can’t disable “Prevent Cross‑Site Tracking,” so the Web Reader bookmarklet never works for me. Because of that, I have to manually copy/paste entire articles into Readlang, which isn’t ideal on mobile.
A simple “Paste URL to import” option on the Readlang site would completely solve this. If Readlang could open the article inside its own site, it would avoid the tracking issue entirely and make mobile use much smoother. It would also help users who aren’t comfortable editing bookmarklets. I think it would really benefit a lot of people in the same situation.
Thanks Steve for making Readlang, it’s an amazing tool.
