Currently when you click on a word, the meaning is shown above the word until you move screen, whereupon it disappears. It would be great if there was a toggle button that allowed you to see the explanations or hide them for all the words you have clicked on.

- progress to the next page
- return to the original page
…the words you clicked on in step (1) will remain highlighted with the explanations.

I like these ideas but persistent translations is tricky to implement from a technical point of view. Translation toggle is simple to implement technically but would add complexity to the UI and might not be super satisfying unless coupled with persistent translations.
