Suggestions about practice and readings

Hi

I have noticed that, in one of the practice format, where you were given a sentence with the word part as ______ then you need to select what word is the correct one to fill in the black spot to complete the sentence.
The issue is, the length of _ is reflecting how many letters are in the correct word.
This will give me a hint of which word are likely to be correct.
The thing is, our brains (or at least my brain) is extremely good at cheating, then when I can see it, I cannot unsee it.
So can I suggest you making the _ a fixed length?

Similar issue with - if the word I am interested in appeared in the beginning of the sentence when I added it to my word list, then it will be added to the word list with first letter capitalized, then when I do my practice, I can tell which one to choose because the correct word is capitalized. I guess I can manipulate this by changing the whole sentence to be all lower case, but would love to get some improvement.

Sorry, another one.
I just noticed that when I do reading, when I click on a new word to find out the meaning, the translation will take up spaces, causing wider line spaces, and potentially push some bottom rows out of the view. But when I finished reading the page, and goes to the next page, those pushed out rows won’t be on the next page. Then I have to go back to the previous page to see them (and all the extra translation will disappear so now all rows are displayed correctly).

I am learning Norwegian in English if that is a useful info. My Translation Behavior settings are Highlight.

Thanks!

I hadn’t noticed that first one but I agree that doesn’t make sense…

The second one, I agree some improvement would be nice, but I think the obvious fix is to have the site save every word in lowercase, which could be wrong in a lot of cases (like for German nouns). I try to manually edit words myself to make them not capitalized.

The third one isn’t my experience. I think the way it works (with rows getting pushed out) feels a little disturbing, but I find that clicking to the next page is putting me basically where I’m supposed to be.

Thanks. I think the second issue is my least concern as different languages behave so differently and it’s not really possible to just change your code in one place to make everything right (I guess). I manually change the explanation (in English) to lower case, but I cannot change the word’s case in the original sentence, that is slightly inconvenient.

For the third one, I guess it might be due to I am still a beginner hence I have new words on almost all rows which is enough to push a few rows off the screen.

I actually like having the space of the ___ to match the answer, because I often find there are multiple ways to say the same thing, so the length can nudge me to remember which variant of the answer to give.

I see. That makes sense if you’re typing the answer. The _ spacing plus multiple choice could make the answer obvious.

Thanks all. I think @Domenick_Braccia 's feedback makes sense. Hence I only want to request the fixed length ___ for multi choice questions.
Also I have found a way to change the uppercase/lowercase of both the word and explanation, I think it works fine in this case because the system shouldn’t assume all words should be all lowercased.
