Simplify Reading Level of Text

Previously, LingQ had a feature that would allow one to simplify something they were reading from say B2 to A2. Recently, they’ve put that feature behind a pricey paywall ($450 a year or so.)

Chat GPT will do small chunks of text like 500 words or so but balks at doing longer texts.

Language tool will only do a sentence at a time which is useless for my purpose.

So wondering, does anyone know of an app or service that will allow simplification of a book chapter’s worth of text? I’m not necessarily looking for free as much as good and easy to use with Readlang.

You could buy some credits at openrouter.ai, and test all the different models available there to see if any of them handle the task suitably. The site has a basic chatbot interface, or else you can code something to go through their API.
