We can now select from a drop down menu from which source we would like to practice vocabulary. This is presented in the sequence of the number of words ready from most to least. It would be great if we could also have it in alphabetical order and/or be able to search for a title or author. When you have read from many sources and want to go back tor practice words from that world, it can be time consuming to find the list. If there are no words ready, the list becomes invisible making it impossible to select that work or author.
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve just updated the practice source picker:
- You can now type into a search box at the top of the picker to filter by title or author
- Instead of ordering by word count, the list now shows the most recently read sources first
- Your chosen source is remembered between sessions
Please refresh your Readlang tab and try it out. I didn’t add an alphabetical sort since I thought that sorting by recency would be more useful, and I think the search box should also help.
One thing this update doesn’t change: sources only appear if they have at least 6 words ready to test. If you want to practice a source with no words currently due, that still isn’t possible from this picker.
