I read on multiple devices. I have a few Boox readers (small and large) and my iphone. Would be great for readlang to remember the settings I set for each device. For example, I read in dark mode on my phone and light mode on my epaper boox devices. I have to switch that every time I swap devices which is every day.
Would be great to have another option which is system setting, so that it takes the setting I have on that particular device.
I also have to change the size, etc when I change from small to large device. Any way to make it remember the settings?
Some settings are stored to your account on the Readlang server, but the font size, height and column width are all stored separately per device using your device’s local storage (which is remembered as long as you remain signed in on that device, if you sign out and then back in again it will reset).
I’m wondering whether the light/dark color scheme toggle might be better as a per-device setting too? (I’ve thought this myself previously, so I’m tempted to change it to device-specific)
I think using eink is the future. Boox is getting better. Reading on a Boox device B&W is not even close to a tabled/ phone/ PC monitor. So a practical solution for the light for epaper and dark for LCD screens is super useful.
