Is it possible to make the readlang extension work with Orion or another browser that works on iOS. I know the webkit requirement makes it trickier, but it would be really nice to be able to use the readlang extension of inline translation on my ipad.
Today, when loading the extension on Orion on ios, it doesn’t get past the loading gif.
I just tested the current Firefox extension in Orion Browser by Kagi on iPadOS, and it works – sometimes.
Not on every website, and quite often I need to toggle the “Request Desktop Website” setting on or off to get the Extension from loading to working state.
When it does work, it seems to behave exactly like it does in Firefox or Chrome on desktop.
@Steve Maybe you could take a look at this? Since it’s already working in principle, it might not be a big stretch to make it fully compatible with the Orion browser.
I’d be happy to provide additional details if that would help.
It would be amazing to have the Web Reader functionality on iPad and iPhone : )
