Readlang App possibility

I would like to help you build the app version for readlang maybe for IOS or Android. Do you have any plans to make it in the future?

Thanks very much for the kind offer! I am considering this, but no promises as to when. I’m not looking to collaborate with anyone just now, but will remember your offer just in case this changes in future.

To have an app would be very nice and most users would be happy to have it. What’s stopping you from building it? Price maybe?

I’m not actually sure what great benefits an app would bring. I use Readlang almost exclusively on Android, both on Chrome and Edge browsers, the latter especially for Read Aloud. I never get the impression that I’m losing out on anything by not having the app. In fact, on other platforms I’m getting quite the opposite impression. In Gemini and Google Docs, the apps tend to be limited, and I can do more on the web versions. A Readlang app would probably not give me the range and quality of voices I’m used to, and I’d end up going back to Edge anyway.

Already works great for me by adding the bookmark to my homescreen. Don’t think i’m missing any feature an app would bring.

I would love a proper Android app just so that I can finally give Readlang a 5 star review

On a more serious note though I could imagine that a proper app could solve issues with push notifications or read aloud voices. But I would agree that I don’t feel that I’m missing much by not having an app. I use Readlang on my phone 95% of the time, and it works quite well.

Adding Bookmark to Home Screen can be as same experience as an app. It works for me. Even it has beautiful Liquid Glass effect. Also it acts like an app with notifications.

I didn’t even realise that Readlang isn’t an app! I must have bookmarked it a while back on my Android phone, and the user experience feels smoother than other apps.

Just one small thing: I’ve noticed that some interactive elements are visible on my laptop browser, but not on my phone, such as the ability to filter words e.g. “Learned” - but I don’t think it needs an app to solve for this.
