I’m very pleased with how the AI pronunciation works; however, I am noticing that there are some words that aren’t read correctly in Hebrew, and I have no way to fix them.
Since Hebrew doesn’t have vowels, it would be helpful if I could provide the pronunciation of the word. When I try to update the target word (to include nikkud), it no longer matches the plain words in the story, so it doesn’t link. I’m guessing this issue is also similar to the post about Arabic, which uses harakat. The nikkud version may also be thought of as similar to Mandarin’s pinyin, if that is something we can build on and leverage here.
If possible, could we add an option (show pronunciation field) for the target word to input the correct pronunciation, while leaving the main word plain, so I can still type it on my keyboard without vowels? Having the right pronunciation would help immensely!
For example: from the Little Prince:
“בבקשה… צייר לי כבשה!” says “kehvsha”
Where the actual word for sheep, כִּבשָׂה, is pronounced more like “kivsa”
Thank you!
