Hi Steve, any plans to consider more premium text to speech in app such as OpenAI or Gemini? I find the Gemini2 flash models great and would love to see it in the app.

If you mean for the Read Aloud feature, I’ve been thinking about offering MS Azure which has high quality voices and is what I’m currently using for the voice which speaks the words you click on while reading, and during the flashcards. These are the same voices that you can use with Read Aloud for free (!) if you use the desktop MS Edge browser, so if you want higher quality voices today, I would highly recommend giving desktop Edge a try. If I offered these voices across all browsers it would cost me money to run and so it would be a premium or premium plus only feature. It would also take some work on my part to add this so not making any promises right now.
Another option, if you had specific models from OpenAI or Gemini in mind, is for you to generate an mp3 file yourself and then upload that to Readlang via the upload page. (Note that audio uploads are a premium only feature)
