I like to close the Classical Flashcards practice sessions prematurely, right after going through all 25 words once and before reviewing those that I got wrong, and then to start a new session of 25 words in which these words needing revision get mixed up with a new batch of words so that the task is not so easy.
However, today it seems that even though I set the new session to 25 words, the new session is shorter. Its sort of weird - when I closed the previous session with just 2 remaining unfinished words, the new session opened with 21 words.
Note that cards you get wrong aren’t necessarily pushed all the way to the back of the queue. So if you quit your session as soon as you see a repeated card I think it’s possible you’ll still have some new cards left in the session that you’ll miss.
Did you figure this out because the total number of words reviewed today was 44 words which makes sense since 23 (original session minus 2 words) + 21 = 44 ??
I’m not exactly sure how this might have happened. There’s a tiny chance that a network error fetching the details of some of the words failed which can result in a session with fewer words, but that seems unlikely. Another reason would be that you’re running low on eligible new words to review. If this happens again please let me know!
