hello,
I clicked “practice” today as usual but i got this message: “Read articles from the Library first, all the words and phrases you translate will be turned into flashcards for you to practice here.” and it forbids me from practicing.
i have not added new words but I want be able to practice my existing vocabulary whether or not i read sth new every day !
Can you please correct this?

Maybe you have already practiced all words that the algorithm thinks need practicing right now? The idea behind spaced repetition is that the better you know your words, the longer the interval between revisions so that you don’t waste your time going through words you actually already know.
@Anna_Vernerova is correct, this is because the spaced repetition algorithm has scheduled words to be practiced in the future.
What you could do as a workaround is to select words from the Word List page and then click Actions → Practice Flashcards:
But unless you are studying a very specific set of words for a test, it’s probably better to follow the the advice of reading more IMO.
