Hi, Steve! Thanks to the massive, massive, massive, massive upgrade in the practice feature I definitely reviewed well over a hundred words. All I get, no matter how many times I run another batch of my 26k “words to review” through the 4 choice system is " No New Cards
That’s strange.
- When you did repeat practice sessions, were new words appearing or was it getting you to re-practice words you’d already practiced today?
- Has this happened to you again on other days since?

Hi Steve! I haven’t seen that message recently. I continue to run into a situation where I am expecting my usual 25 words and, instead, will only get a lesser number, and am then taken to the “words reviewed today” screen. At that point I go back to the beginning tab and press the practice button again and, again, get some words, but less than 25 words. If I remember correctly, at that point I can – at least sometimes – reload the page to get back to the full, desired, 25 words. I thought I had saved a screen to show you, but apparently not. Next time it happens, likely today, I will come back and post more.
Why does this matter? Well, I am trying to do high numbers of reviews each day now…like 500 minimum. And it becomes painful, especially toward the end, when I keep being taken out of practice with only 2, or 7, or some other less-than-25 number of words reviewed. And, again, when I re-enter I always get new words…just not the 25 I am pacing myself for.

Why 22 instead of 25 when there are “24640 words ready”? There may be some valid reason why, but it just looks like sass to me;!/
Thanks. I understand what you mean now, but unfortunately I’m not having any luck trying to reproduce it myself or to figure out why it might be happening.

It gives me a lot of new words – almost too many, especially of the most recent, it seems to me, as I should have many thousands I’ve backlogged through the years. The problem happens multiple times every day. But not every time. I can get a bunch of properly long lists of 25 followed by a number of runs of 7, 3, 12, words, etc. I remember that from last night when I was tired and just trying to get another 100 words complete so I could get to my 500 daily target and go to sleep.
At some point I usually do a reload of the page in the hope that will give me longer runs. I ought to know, for sure, if that actually workgs, but I am not sure.
Maybe add a count of words remaining on the screen? (E.G. 3/25, 4/25?) That would be a nice touch and might help better identify the point of the problem. (for example, does it say 3/7 or the expected 3/25 before it stops after the 7th word?). This slight touch would also help with pacing myself…sort of like a mile marker on the road when you are driving a long distance and are trying to decide whether to pull off for a rest or keep going another 5 minutes.

Then I notice Length is blank and decide to choose 25 explicitly, but find I only have a choice between 4, 8, and 18.
I decide to leave it blank and get, I think, 18.

Notice the number of words ready didn’t change. I presume that is significant? I do a refresh and I get:

I think I’ve finally figured out what was going on here and have now fixed it so the counts should update correctly after each flashcard session. Please let me know if the fix has worked for you.
