"Merge Phrases" Sometimes?

My app usage habits are changing and I have disabled “Merge Phrases”.

It would be nice if I could hold shift (or something like that) to revert to “Merge Phrase” behavior temporarily while keeping my default settings as “Don’t Merge”.

Is this possible?

Shift-click to merge a nice idea. Just to check though - did you know that you can click and drag to expand an existing selection?

Maybe when we have ‘Merge Phrase’ off, we could still use click and drag to merge phrases.

Would that be more convenient?

Most of the time, I would like to study both words separately and as a phrase, especially in the case of particle verbs in Swedish.

That’s exactly how it works right now. Click and drag works in both modes

Ahh! Okay, now I got it. There’s a small glitch when we drag—it doesn’t show the last word as selected, even though it actually is. When I tried it before, I thought it wasn’t working. Now that I’ve experimented with it differently, it’s working fine.

Thanks for the clarification!

Hmmm, I haven’t noticed this particular bug. For me the last word does appear highlighted. Could you please let me know what device and browser you are using. (A screenshot or video would be particularly helpful)

I’m using chrome in windows10.
Below is the screen shot of it.

Here my mouse is at the word “fotograf” but still it is not selected. but when I release it will add to the phrase.

if move to an un added last word, it will be working as expected

PS: I have the video, but some how I’m not able to attach it here.

Thanks, that was helpful. I can reproduce this now and will work on fixing it.
