Hello, I’ve recently started using the feature of manually adding words to my word list. While it works perfectly well, I noticed that it can be a bit slow when adding multiple words. Is it possible to add a “quick save” button that would save the word without showing the "Add New Word" pop up? Possibly by pressing return again or a separate button. I understand the popup is to add more details but in many cases it’s not needed.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve just added a secret way to do this using a keyboard shortcut.
On the Words page, type the word in the search box and press Return as before. Once the “Add Word” card appears, press Shift+Return to save it immediately, with no popup. The search box clears and stays focused so you can go straight on to the next word. Shift-clicking the card does the same thing, which is useful if you need to choose between two different translation directions (e.g. when the same word could mean something different in both your learning language and your first language).
Clicking the card normally, or pressing Return on it, still opens the full Add New Word popup, so it’s there whenever you do want to fill in the extra details. To be honest, I highly recommend sticking with this in order to add a context sentence to the card.
