Macrons in latin - Change Font

Hi!

First, I’d like to express how much I enjoy using Readlang. It’s an incredibly useful tool for language learning and reading in general, and I’m very grateful for it. I have used it for free for some time and just recently decided to buy the premium subscription - because of the AI integration mostly, but also because I deeply appreciate the work that has gone and goes into creating and maintaining the platform. Thank you!

As to the bug, in certain parts of the interface (e.g. “explain” tab and in file titles) macrons are not displayed properly.

Just to clarify, the diacritic marks, the bars over some letters, are misplaced. It should read: In Latīnā linguā, … “prōlēs” vel “līberī”, etc

The epub text itself is ok, and most latin texts are not macronised anyway, but if it’s easy to solve that’d be great.

Thanks again and have a nice week end!

Tomeu

This is a known issue with the font:

I haven’t tried, but you could try to replace Jost with some other font by following these steps:

That’s great, thank you!

I’m using brave browser, so it works differently.
I’ve found out that in brave or any browser with the adblocker add-on, you can change the font for a specific website by setting a filter in adblocker with the following rule:

readlang.com##body:style(font-family: unset !important;)

To choose the new font, just replace “unset” with the desired font name.
