Jumping backwards when listening to uploaded mp3

@Steve Have you made any changes in the last few days to the logic for pagination/syncing mp3 playing with the transcript? I’m now having a lot of problems where if I click to translate a word, the pagination changes, and then somtimes the audio will jump back multiple “pages”. I never had this problem until today.

Actually, I’m also noticing when using the TTS in edge, that many of the sentences are repeating, and I’m something having it jump back a page even without any translations changing pagination, so it seems more fundamentally broken than I saw seeing above.

I’ve been having the same problem for a couple of days with the Read Aloud feature in Edge (on Android). The first page seems ok, then the speaker starts repeating sentences once on page two, and in some cases playing the sentences three times on later pages. As far as I can tell, Chrome is not affected.

I’m also currently having problems with layout on Android Edge (which I’ve been using for months without problens), and have had to send this from Chrome, as on Edge the reply button was hidden by the edit box, which took up the whole page. In reading mode on my Android tablets, the top menu bar is getting hidden under the Edge bar. This has been happening on my larger tablet for a few days, but it has just started happening on my small tablet today.

Sorry about this. I’d been trying to clean up some of the code but inadvertently introduced this bug. I’ve now reverted the change so it should be working again now. Please refresh your Readlang tab to get the updated (reverted) version.

Hi, steve, can u please tell me how to make the explain (explain the word) part just in English (the language I’m learning) because mostly the explain come with my foreign language and rarly come in English, is there anyway to make it just in English???

there should be a link below the explanation that says “Switch explanations to English” which does this.

Unfortunately, i don’t have it

@Boos_Issa I’ve emailed you directly about this since we’re currently in a forum thread which is about an unrelated mp3 playback issue.

Hi Steve. Read Aloud seems to functioning normally on Edge now. Thanks.
