Install Readlang Web Reader on Safari for macOS

These are written for Safari version 13 on macOS:

  1. Open the bookmarks / favorites sidebar, which you can open with a button at the top left of the window, or by selecting “View → Show Bookmarks Sidebar” from the menu.
  2. Drag the Readlang Web Reader link which you’ll find on this page into the Bookmarks Sidebar.
  3. Visit a webpage you’d like to read in the language you’re learning.
  4. Click the “Readlang Web Reader” bookmark that you just created.
  5. The Readlang toolbar will now open, and you can click on words or phrases within the web-page to translate them.

Small typo in step 2 - missing the word “find” perhaps?
However the steps worked perfectly and have greatly simplified my import process when I don’t want to copy paste an entire article, I did have to disable cross-tracking but there was a little pop up that informed me of this. (To other readers: If this is important to you, it is a quick switch to turn it back on again after)

Thanks so much for explaining this!!
I’m using a fairly old macbook as my main tool for learning so I’ve normally had to find old versions of apps like anki to be able to even use them. Followed your tutorial and it worked amazing first try even on my older hardware. Thanks again!
