Inconsistent translation? Or what's happening here?

I’m using “wordlist” to construct phrases I find interesting or useful. First I put in:

Bellacos. Belicoso. ==> Scoundrels. Warlike.

That’s correct. Now I add a little bit, and here is what I get:

Bellacos. Belicoso. Hay una palabra en inglés: ‘bellicose’. ==>Bellicose. Bellicose. There is a word in English: ‘bellicose’.

To be clear, what I expected, and wanted, to see was:

==>Scoundrels. Warlike. There is a word in English: ‘bellicose’.

But I can’t make that happen. I’ve tried playing with double quotes and other things, which sometimes help, but no good. I would expect the periods to punctuate and stop the AI from conflating sentences? Sometimes that works. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Like this time. BTW, this a bug I’ve seen a number of times in different contexts, where the AI just starts making up its own mind when it feels like translating, and when it doesn’t? Or am I somehow being inconsistent?

FWIW, I just found this similar, yet slightly different, example I successfully put in some time ago:

Procurar significa tratar de, conseguir, o, en inglés, “to procure”==>Procurar means to try, to obtain, or, in English, “to procure.”

In that case, I think I quoted the “Procurar”, but I don’t remember.

I wouldn’t recommend adding “There is a word in English: …” within the search box in this case. The main use cases of this search box are to:

  1. Search for a word/phrase in your word list
  2. Add a new word/phrase that you can type/paste in your learning language
  3. Add a new word/phrase that you can type/paste in your first language

In cases (2) and (3), if you click to add the word/phrase, you would then ideally add a context sentence featuring that word/phrase. You could also consider adding an English translation either as the main translation or an alternative translation, e.g. in your example this might make sense:

Let me know if this makes sense.

If you are entering “There is a word in English: ‘bellicose’.” because you want this note to appear somewhere else while using Readlang, please let me know where.
