How to import YouTube video in read Lang and convert it to text

If there’s not a transcript already you have to generate one by Googling a Youtube-to-mp3 converter and then uploading that audio to Readlang which will generate a transcript.

If the YouTube video has a transcript you can import like this:

  1. Install the Readlang Web Reader Chrome extension
  2. Navigate to a YouTube video (URL must be in format https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxxxxx)
  3. Either right click somewhere on the page and select “Import to Readlang”, or click the “R” button to open the Web Reader extension and then select “Import to Readlang” from the menu.

If the video doesn’t have a transcription then what @georgiefeyerabend says makes sense.
