How to add a song?

I see here many songs with videos and synchronised lyrics, but I didn’t found any information how to upload this kind of media.

The easiest way is to:

  1. Install the Readlang extension:
  1. Open a YouTube video of the song
  2. Right click the page (on empty space, not on the video itself) and select the “Import to Readlang” option

Note: this import functionality relies on the format of the transcript being available within current design of the YouTube webpage which could change, thus breaking Readlang’s YouTube import functionality. There is an older method of importing and syncing videos explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szcvArpfxWI. The method of syncing shown in that video can also be useful to fine tune the synchronization of text to video after importing using the browser extension.

Sorry about that. Note that this will only work for videos where YouTube provides a transcript. Please share your YouTube link with me and I can check if this is the case.

If the “Import to Readlang” method of importing a YouTube video is not working for a certain video, you can use the old method explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szcvArpfxWI. Note that this older method requires you to provide a transcript and some fiddly manual work to synchronize it to the video.
