Google 日本語 (Natural) voices show up but produce no sound

Hi,

On macOS + Chrome, Readlang shows these Japanese voices:

The regular Google 日本語 voice works (quality is okay),

but any voice labeled “Natural” produces no sound at all.

Is this expected?

Is there any way to make the “Natural” Japanese voices work in Readlang?

Sorry about that. I only see these voices in Chrome on macOS:

So unfortunately I can’t test these “Natural” voices. Do you know whether you did anything to give access to these voices?

I didn’t do anything. I’m using MacOS Tahoe 26.1 with Chrome 142.
