German articles are necessary ! ;)

Just discovered Readlang. Very interesting (I already tried another reading app but it was way too cumbersome and its UI a nightmare).
But … a word list for german without articles is a non-sense, unfortunately.
I’m sure other persons already said this.
Anyway, keep the good work!

I have the same problem with norwegian.
In my self built anki flashcards I even scripted that it highlights the articles with specific colors if the word is starting with one.

As the articles are very different in several languages, I think it is a good practice to just always learn it together with the word.

However I think that is the biggest drawback with the word-list I get from Readlang, because based on the sentence the word was generated from, there is often no hint about the article.

And If I try to edit the word and just add it in front of it manually, I cannot do this because the validation prevents me from doing this if the context-sentence does not have it the same way.

Not sure what a good solution for this could be…

@Steve
Do you have any hints / idea on how to handle this?

I just tried Readlang again: this crucial feature is still not offered, and no answer has been provided to your question! :confused:

You can edit the word and text as you see fit as long as it matches the word somewhere inside it. For example, the original der theoretischen Vorstellung here can be changed to die theoretische Vorstellung or anything else, along with whatever other notes you want to make to yourself.
