Firefox text to speech

Good morning,
The text-to-speech quality in Firefox is unfortunately very poor for Spanish. I tested it in Chrome and the difference is significant — it works much better there. Is there any solution for Firefox users?

It would be great if the text-to-speech feature weren’t dependent on the browser. Perhaps generating the audio once using a service like ElevenLabs or something similar could be an option.

Regards,

The best browser for TTS voices seems to be MS Edge: Get to Know Microsoft Edge

You could vote for this to ask for more natural voices in Firefox: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/add-quot-natural-quot-tts-voices-to-reader-mode/idi-p/3485

This guide shows how you can add voices to macOS that will then be available within Firefox: Get TTS with natural Voices on macOS without external Tools | Roman Zipp

Offering TTS for Read Aloud via a service like ElevenLabs or MS Azure is something I might consider in future. No promises though. One issue with ElevenLabs in particular is that it’s very expensive.
