Dear Readlang Team,
I wanted to reach out and start by saying that this tool is, without exaggeration, the greatest discovery I’ve made this year. It has significantly improved my target language skills in an incredible way. I am genuinely in love with what you’ve built, and it’s worth every cent of my monthly subscription.
To make Readlang even more “perfect” for long-term learners, I would like to suggest two features/improvements:
1. Lifetime & Annual Word Count Tracker Currently, we can see our daily progress, but it would be a game-changer to have a Total Word Count tracker (Annual or Lifetime). Many learners, myself included, set ambitious goals like “Reading 1 Million Words a Year.” Having a visible counter for this specific goal would be extremely motivating and help us track our long-term consistency.
2. Chrome Extension Improvements & Bug Fixes I’ve noticed a couple of issues with the browser extension that disrupt the learning flow:
-
Word Highlighting: When using the extension on an external article, it doesn’t always highlight or color-code words I have previously studied or marked. Consistent synchronization would be very helpful.
-
Duplicate Word Logic: I’ve noticed that if I add the same word from two different sources, it sometimes results in the word being removed or glitched in my study list. It would be better if the system recognized it as a “known” word or simply merged the context sentences.
Thank you again for creating such a wonderful tool. I look forward to seeing Readlang continue to grow and evolve!
Best regards
