I purchased Premium. I found the words I wanted to learn. But when I press the pronunciation playback button, I only hear evil laughter! Should I start regretting buying Premium? Or is it fixable?
What language, what operating system, and what voiceover voice do you have selected in your settings?
And, uhm… how evil is the laughter? Like, full-on “mad scientist with a death ray plotting to take over the world” MUAHAHAHAHAHA that is very clearly supposed to be evil laughter, or is it possibly an audio malfunction that sounds like evil laughter?
(I don’t work for Readlang, I’m just a fellow user who’s fascinated by your bug.)

It was a truly sinister laugh. I figured out the cause. For some reason, no language was selected for pronunciation by default. Once I set a new one, everything returned to normal

I’m also encountering this problem. I subscribed to the premium version, but the audio on the mobile app is all strange, and for some reason, I can’t select the voice when reading on the computer.
I’m very curious what the evil laughter sounded like 
Thanks for reporting this! Do you mean that you selected a voice? (it shouldn’t be possible to not have a language set)
By the way, I’ve just added a change which lets you change the voices from the main Settings page.
