I have an account here and i posted too many essays and when i tried to sighn in again all of my essays disappeared from my profile despite they are still in library section , can you help me to make them back to my profile?
Please check that you have the correct language set for “I’m learning…” at the top of the page. Then take a look in Library → My Texts and set the Browse dropdown to either “All” or “Completed” and see if your missing texts might be there.
The other thing to check is that you are signed in to the correct account. Do you have multiple Readlang accounts under different email addresses perhaps?
I tried to change my email’s name before and when i sighn up again all of my essays are disappeared from my profile despite it’s the same account , can i get my essays back?
Please email me at steve@readlang.com and let me know which email address you originally signed up with, what you changed it to (if you can remember), and what you’d like it to be, and I’ll look into what’s going on.
I’m also adding a confirmation prompt so that it isn’t so easy to accidentally change your email address!
I love the edit feature, but the edit window always starts at the top, no matter where in the text I am reading. This makes the feature less than convenient.
In Firefox
Ctrl-F in Firefox won’t find the pattern in the edit window - only in the original text on the left. Scrolling down to search is the only option.
In Chrome
Chrome does look in the edit window first if I ctrl-F there, but it still starts at the top of the text. Lots of clicks for long texts, if the sought for text appears frequently.
Conclusion: tedious for long texts
So: inconvenient in Firefox, and sometimes tedious in Chrome if the pattern searched for appears frequently in the text. Have not tried other browsers.
