There is literally so little resources to learn kazakh, and adding Kazakh to goodreads is just God-send to everyone who is going to try to challenge this language.

Like, right now in Kazakhstan there is a huge turmoil pushing a ton of new immigrants into learning Kazakh, but there is just no resources available! Books are thin scattered around whole web, and none of major sites support Kazakh in a meaningful way! So, your site is literally first

Sooo, how well it works? It depends. Because of low popularity of that language, (its miracle when book is translated into kazakh, but when its published as epub, its even more rare), there is just so little information in internet in Kazakh, but overall, translator working, and can in 90% give proper meaning to the user. A lot of the times with context translator is able to give better translation, but sadly, amount of full phrases translations is so limited for free plan
Summaries is not so good. A.I. just wasnt fed any kazakh language at all! so its really horrible at translating it, and then trying its best to understand it, but still its pretty messy

also, on subject how it is works. Web reader sometimes have thing, when
for example, on Kazakh Wikipedia, I translate using kazakh to russian
somehow, while clicking on all words in order, translation of kazakh word баска was written next to next word in the text! Its happens around 2-3 times per long page, not that criticall, but still

sometimes, when clicking on a word to translate, it doesn’t shows, then to be added before the next word as usuall text.
Glad to hear it’s useful at least! I’m not surprised that the AI quality isn’t as good for languages like Kazakh.

This certainly sounds like a bug. I’ve been trying to reproduce it myself but can’t manage.
- Are you using the Chrome extension?
- What do you have “Deselect Behavior” set to? You can see it in the dropdown menu here:
- If you could share the exact link of the Wikipedia entry and the exact word where this happens, that would also help!

my browser is Vivaldi, which uses some magic to emulate chrome, so chrome extensions could be directly installed into it.
Try just to translate every single word from left to right, and then it probably will happen.

Thanks! I’ve figured out why this happens. In the case where a translation is taking a while to load, it’s meant to let you click another word to translate in the meanwhile and both should ultimately load and display correctly, but this is broken on the Web Reader at the moment. I’ve pushed a fix but it requires an update to the Chrome extension. I’ve submitted the update to Google for review and assuming they approve it, it normally takes somewhere between a few hours and a day for the change to go live.
You can check if you have the update by look for the version number of the Readlang extension in your browser’s page for managing extensions (in Chrome this is chrome://extensions/). If the version number is 0.9.5 or greater, then it means you have the new version with the fix.
