Chrome extension stopped working several days ago — asking to sign in even if I’m already logged in. I’ve tried to reinstall the extension but it didn’t help.

Sorry about that. I can confirm that this isn’t working for me either if I have third party cookies blocked in Chrome. Last year I implemented a workaround allowing the Readlang Web Reader to stay signed in even with third-party cookies disabled, but I’m guessing that a recent Chrome update has stopped that from working. I’ll investigate first thing tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, you might be able to fix it by going into Chrome’s Settings and enabling Privacy and Security → Allow third-party cookies. (Although I’d understand if you didn’t want to enable this)

Great, thanks for letting me know!
It turned out that the code to detect whether third party cookies were blocked has stopped working in the latest version of Chrome, so now I’ve fixed it so that everyone using the Chrome extension is using the alternative authorization method instead which doesn’t rely on third party cookies.
