Hey, Will chat mode be added also to the Chinese and Japanese language?

Thanks for the question. Maybe one day, but it’s not on my short term roadmap because of two reasons:

  • Chinese and Japanese require non-trivial changes because they don’t use words with spaces between them.
  • The usage of this feature isn’t that high right now. So I think before adding more languages I’d want to try to improve the retention within the languages that are supported first.

Hi Steve. Just a note on your second point. I stopped using it because it asked me the same question every day - did I know about such-and-such minor cultural event, and would I like to take part in it? I managed to change the subject, but it got a bit annoying always starting off “You asked me that yesterday. Can we talk about something else?”. This was in French and Spanish.

Yeah, I’ve had the same issue. It tends to get stuck on a topic. I’ll look into this.
