Hey, go to words tab select all the words that you want export and that from actions drop-down menu select export. Than with drag and drop choose what things you want to export and than click export and it will download all chosen words into txt file.

I learn better by doing spaced repetition and by checking the words that are most common (i.e. the most frequent ones) in my readings. In my workflow I export phrases/words in the Anki cloze format, import them into Anki through Anki Desktop and finally practice them using Anki on my phone.

Requirements:

Steps:

  • Export new phrases/words that I want to practice to a file
    • Go to Readlang, select all words and export
    • Export settings
      • Context (anki cloze with translation)
      • word frequency
    • Delimeter: Semicolon
  • Import the text file into Anki Desktop:
    • Import file >
      • Import Options
        • Note file: cloze
        • Deck: My french words and phrases
        • Existing notes: update
      • Field mapping
        • Text: map to "1: "
        • Frequency: map to “2:”
    • Click on Sync to synchronize
  • Finally in the Anki iOS app, just hit synchronize and you have the words in your phone!
