Add “Known Words” Count (Like LingQ)

Hi,
I really love using Readlang and appreciate how it helps with language learning. I had a suggestion that could make it even more effective, especially for tracking progress.

Currently, I can click on words to save them for study, which is great. But I’ve noticed that there’s no way to track the number of words I’ve encountered and understood without clicking on them. Other platforms like LingQ have a feature that automatically counts words as “known” once you’ve seen them multiple times or passed over them without clicking. i think his gives a more complete picture of your vocabulary growth over time.

Would it be possible to add a similar “Known Words” count in Readlang?
For example:
Words that I read but don’t click on could be considered “known” and tracked separately.
These could be displayed in a “Known Words” section or added to a total count.

It would be a great motivational feature and a more accurate reflection of the words I’ve learned through reading.

It would also be helpful if words already in my saved words list (the ones I’m currently learning) could be shown in a different color, for example, yellow instead of white.
That way, we’d easily recognize that we’re already learning that word.
Even better, I could then click on that word again to mark it as “known,” which would move it to the “Known Words” list and remove it from the active learning list.

Thanks for considering this, and thanks again for all your work on the platform!

I recently learned that under “Aa” tab options, the Auto-Highlight feature can give you part of what you ask for, in underlining words already being studied. And you can mark them as remembered (for flashcard SRS purposes) or delete them.

When I mark it as “I remembered,” does the word
have any changes to the practice thing?

I think it’s supposed to (" * Mark as remembered. This lets Readlang know you don’t need to be reminded of this word for a while.") but I’m not sure how to confirm how it affects practice timing.
I can say that if you set the underlining option in “Aa” tab to “Ready To Learn”, mark a word as “I remembered” (so the underline disappears), then leave the text, and return to the text, that word is not “ready to learn” yet. So I believe it’s adding delay to the timing of the next review, also.
