How can I add new category in world list? Or more flexible filters?

Now I can only choose “All words” or the whole book as a source for practice. But while reading, you add a lot of new words from the book to your All words list and you can’t tell how useful they are at that moment. In the word list, I have to work with the entire list of words and can only filter it by time or usefulness. As a result, it turns into a huge, inflexible pile of vocabulary. I mean, I can’t just take only the last added words, sort them by usefulness, and keep the 10 most useful ones.

You can filter by the text the word came from by clicking one of your texts here:

These particular filters aren’t visible on mobile sized screens due to lack of screen space. (This is one of the only parts of Readlang where a desktop feature is not available on mobile).

When one of these filters are selected, you can still use the sort selector to sort by “Recently Modified” or “Usefulness” for example.

It’s true you can’t filter for recent words and then sort them by usefulness though.

Note that if Readlang has word frequencies for the language you are learning, it will prioritize the more useful/frequent words in the language automatically when using Practice. So it shouldn’t feel bad to have a “huge pile of vocabulary”, in fact, it’s typical to spend more time reading than practicing and for your vocab list to keep growing faster than you can study it all, and I think that’s fine.
